I've been hangin' round York long enough to know when a pub is designed for tourists and this definately is with prices to match (they must think us Yanks are rich). But hey, it isn't so bad with some great bands on and sometimes my friend who supports Sunderland soccer club takes me there to see it on TV. Damn it, i'll never get that sport!

It's a fairly average pub, but it gets extra points for having what must be the best juke box in the city! The drink isn't all that cheap, and it can get a bit packed when there's a band on. I do like the outdoor covered terracey bit on a summer's evening, though.
