What a fantastic pub this is , the food is soooo good, wish I could eat there on a weekly basis, and the Abbot Ale, Speckled Hen and Adnams Broadside are to die for - so hubby tells me. Shane the landlord is the best!

What a fantastic little pub which was stumbled upon by accident on our way back to York. Eaten here several times now and each time is a pleasure. Great atmospher and a lovely pint. We look forward to going back.

As a true Yorkshireman now living in Thailand where I built my own Yorkshire pub 2 years ago I can honestly say that the one pub I miss is the Alice Hawthorn Inn. I visited the pub on numerous occasions and found the food always to my taste. The staff were always friendly and the landlord Shane is one of the best..Alan
