Comments: When me and the missus visit the big city she always drags me into some tourist pubs, but not any more. Thanks for saving my marriage.

Comments: What a great site! A little bit slow but a cracking idea, looks good and is well thought out. I would agree that a map would be a good feature, but might be a bit hard to do - come on some of you students, you're not doing anything else with your time, offer the man a hand!
Would anyone (long-term Yorkies only please - let's see it through) be interested in joining me on a quest to visit each and every one of York's pubs? Not going mad, just a crawl every couple of weeks.
Another challenge I hope you can help me with - at Uni in Nottingham we had a tradition called the Five B4 Five. Five pubs, five pints, from four until five - a regular Friday tradition. This started in Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem (hell of a pub) and finished in the centre so that we could hear the town hall bell chime the hour. It wasn't just a game, but a great way to show newcomers to the city some historic pubs, and a lot of the town itself, and get acquainted with the locals very fast!
I'd like to start an equivalent York tradition, with some of the oldest and best pubs, finishing within earshot of Great Peter, so anywhere around the Minster. Anyone got any suggestions? Essential pubs to include, or maybe a full suggested route for a Five?
If you'd like to contact me for either of the above points, or just want to tell me to make my guestbook entries smaller, write to me on martin@pisshead.co.uk - happy drinking everyone, and please take time to review more pubs, you're helping to make the site what it is, and it's getting better by the day!
MC.

Comments: I went to the white horse pub on february/march 2001 and saw a thunderflash hairstyled girl behind the counter listening to Clapton and so. I would like her to send me an e-mail as she is a character in the book I'm writing. Yours. Marc
